  1. Wash and soak rice for 15-20 min Then take rice in a big bowl with 3 cups of water and let it boil. Add salt,turmeric powder, cinnamon stick, star anise and cardamom to the water with rice. This will make rice flavorful.
  2. Now take a wok Add ghee and cumin seeds When they crackle add bay leaf and sliced onions Let them sauté Add ginger garlic paste Sauté for sometime.
  3. Now add biryani masala and stir Add chopped tomatoes and let them cook nicely. Biryani masala is flavorful so no other masala is needed..
  4. Add methi leaves and stir till the water is absorbed By now the rice must have boiled Drain out the excess water and add rice in the the wok.
  5. Stir rice gently alongwith the prepared methi tomato masala.
  6. Once it’s mixed all over nicely Switch off the flame and serve hot with any raita or plain curd.
